Renewing your Nol Card is important for ensuring you continue to enjoy seamless access to Dubai’s extensive public transportation network. In this guide, we will walk you through the straightforward process of renewing your Nol Card, both online and offline.
I will cover everything you need to know, from renewing a personal Nol Card to managing student and monthly pass renewals with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Follow these steps to keep your Nol Card active and continue your journeys without interruption.
I’ll guide you through both online and offline methods to renew Nol Card. Having personally tested these methods, I’ll also provide screenshots for each step, ensuring you can easily follow along and complete the renewal process smoothly.
Method 01: Renew Personal Nol Card Through Rta Website
Follow the steps below to renew expired Nol card online by RTA website. Keep in mind the you can renew the pass 5 days before or after its expiry
Go to RTA official website by clicking on the link.
Now go to the “Public Transport” option and choose “Explore Nol”.
Scroll down and click on the “Renew Travel Pass” Option.
Now enter your ‘Nol tag ID” and click on the “I am not a robot” box.
Click on the “Next” button.
Confirm your details and click on the “Pay” button.
Once you complete the payment process, your Nol Card will be renewed. To activate your Travel Pass, simply use your card at any online parking meter or Metro gate. Activation may take between 45 minutes and 4 hours to process.

Method 02: Renew Nol Card at Metro Stations
If you’re at the metro station, you can renew your Nol Card at the ticket office. Simply present your card, specify your travel zones, and indicate the desired validity period.
You can choose to pay with either cash or a bank card. Once the payment is processed, your Nol Card will be renewed.
