Hazza bin Sultan & Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road Closures 2024

If you’re driving in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain in the coming days, be prepared for significant road closures and traffic diversions. 

According to an announcement by AD Mobility, Hazza bin Sultan Street in Al Ain will be partially closed from Sunday, August 18, 2024, through Sunday, September 1, 2024. During this period, traffic will be diverted to the opposite side of the road to facilitate construction and maintenance.

Hazza bin Sultan Street Closure in Al Ain

Starting at 12:00 AM on Sunday, August 18, 2024, Hazza bin Sultan Street will undergo a major closure, causing significant disruptions in traffic flow. 

The closure will continue for two weeks until September 1, 2024. Motorists traveling along this major road in Al Ain should be prepared to follow traffic diversions and plan alternate routes during the construction period.

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street Partial Closure

In addition to the closure in Al Ain, a partial closure has been implemented on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street in Abu Dhabi. Two right lanes have been closed since 12:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024

These closures will remain in place until 6:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024. Another partial closure will also occur on Sunday, August 18, from 12:00 AM until 12:00 noon. 

The lanes affected are marked in red and blue on the AD Mobility road map, while the green lanes will remain unaffected.

Road Diversions and Motorist Guidance

With traffic being diverted, drivers are advised to remain cautious, follow road signs, and avoid the closed lanes to prevent unnecessary delays. 

AD Mobility, which announced these closures on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), is working to ensure that these disruptions are kept to a minimum and that traffic continues to flow safely and efficiently during the closure periods.
