Method 01: Hafilat Recharge Online by Official Website
For recharging your Hafilat bus card, following the steps below:
Go to office website Hafilat darb ae by clicking on the link.
Enter your card’s serial number in the box shown in the picture below.
The type of your card and the remaining balance will now appear on your screen.
Select the amount you want to recharge from the drop-down list.
Click the “View Basket/Payment” button.
Accept the “Terms of Use” and enter your email address in the provided box.
Click the “Payment” button to proceed.
You will be redirected to the payment page.
Click the “Pay” button, choose your payment method, and click “Pay” again.

Method 02: Recharge Hafilat Bus Card by Darb Mobile Application
Another way to recharge your Hafilat card is using the Darb mobile app. Follow the staps below:
Open the Darb app on your mobile device.
Log in if you already have an account. If you’re new, create an account.
Look for the Hafilat card options in the app. It’s usually under ‘Services’.
Tap on ‘Recharge Hafilat Card’.
Enter your Hafilat card number.
Confirm that the card details are correct.
Pick how you want to recharge, such as a specific amount or a monthly pass.
Enter the amount you want to add to your card.
Choose your payment method (credit/debit card, digital wallet, etc.).
Review your payment details and confirm the transaction.
You’ll get a confirmation of the recharge in the app and possibly via email or SMS.
Method 03: Hafilat Card Recharge Online by Botim Mobile Application
Recharging your Hafilat bus card through the Botim app is a straightforward way to keep your account updated for public transport in Abu Dhabi. Here’s a step-by-step guide, with screenshots from my phone to help you follow along:
Launch the Botim app and log in to your account.
Tap the “Explore” button.
Click on “More.”
Choose “Bills & Recharges.”
Select “Hafilat” to link your account.
Input your bus card serial number and click “Link Account.”
Tap the “Check My Bills” button to view your card’s balance on your screen.
Select your card and follow the steps to recharge it.
Note: Be aware that recharging through the Botim app may take up to 2 hours to process.
Method 04: Recharge Hafilat Bus Card Using a Self-service Machine
Now, I will explain how to recharge your Hafilat bus card using a self-service machine.
Find a Hafilat bus card recharging machine at a bus station or other designated locations.
On the machine’s screen, choose your preferred language by clicking on the language option.
Click on the option that says ‘Top Up’ or ‘Recharge Card.’
Look at the back of your Hafilat card to find the serial number. Enter this number into the machine.
After entering the number, click the ‘Submit’ button to proceed.
The machine will show the card details. Check to ensure the number is correct and click ‘Submit’ again to confirm.
Choose the amount you wish to add to your card. The machine will prompt you to insert cash.
Insert the required amount of cash into the machine. The minimum amount is usually 10 AED, but you can add more if needed.
Once you have inserted the cash, click the ‘Continue’ button. The machine will process your payment.
After the transaction is complete, the machine will print a receipt. Take this slip and keep it for your records.
The updated balance on your Hafilat card may take up to two hours to reflect. If you encounter any issues, refer to the receipt or contact customer service.
