Now, this change affects all services provided by ICA. So, what’s the new cost? It’s Dh370 instead of the previous Dh270.

Cost of Emirates ID & Fee for 1 & 2 Years

Let’s take a closer look at the Emirates ID fees for different scenarios and durations:

  • Lost or Stolen Emirates ID Replacement Charges: If your Emirates ID gets lost or stolen, fret not! You can get a replacement, but it’ll cost you. The replacement fee is set at AED 562, as per previous regulations.
  • Applying for a New Emirates ID or Renewal: Whether you’re applying for your Emirates ID for the first time or renewing an old one, the fee remains the same. This also applies to newborn babies getting their Emirates ID for the first time. The fee for a 1-year validity period is AED 362.
  • Renewing an Old Emirates ID or Replacing a Damaged or Stolen One: If your Emirates ID is due for renewal or if you need to replace a damaged or stolen one, the fee for a 2-year validity period is AED 462. This fee applies to newborn babies as well.

Additionally, there are Amar 247 service fees applicable to certain Emirates ID processes. If you’re considering upgrading to the Golden Emirates ID, be prepared to pay AED 1262. The Golden Emirates ID has a validity period of 5 years, offering you extended benefits and services.

Sponsor Transfer Application: If you’re planning to switch sponsors, you’ll need to submit an official application for it. Remember, verbal agreements won’t cut it here; you’ve got to get it done on paper too.

Sponsor Transfer Fees: For a 1-year sponsor transfer, the fee is AED 362, while for a 2-year transfer, it’s AED 462. These fees cover the administrative costs associated with processing your sponsor transfer application.

During the Emirates ID application process, you may also encounter the following fees:

  • Emirates ID 5 Years Card Issuance Fee (AED 100): This fee covers the issuance of your ID card for a duration of five years. It’s a one-time payment for getting your hands on the ID card initially.
  • Emirates ID Service Fee (AED 150): This fee contributes to the processing and facilitation of various services related to the Emirates ID. It helps streamline the administrative processes involved in getting your ID card sorted.
